GP MMI

Scenario

A simulated RACGP national entry assessment–style situational judgement interview. You are an applicant for the AGPT/FSP pathway, interviewed by an experienced female consultant physician. You will be presented with a series of short, realistic professional dilemmas commonly encountered in Australian general practice (e.g., confidentiality, cultural safety, conflict in the team, boundary issues, complaints, and rural/remote constraints). The focus is on judgement, communication, professionalism, and self-awareness—not clinical guideline recall.

Instructions for Submission / User Instructions
  1. Click Start to begin the interview.
  2. You will receive 11 scenarios. For each scenario, the interviewer will ask two questions.
  3. Answer verbally, as if you are in a real assessment. Prioritise:
    • What you would do next (practical steps)
    • Why you chose that approach (reasoning)
    • Who you would involve / escalate to (teamwork, supervision)
    • How you would communicate (patient-centred, respectful, de-escalating)
    • Professionalism, ethics, fairness, cultural safety, and documentation
  4. Do not focus on medication doses or guideline trivia. If clinical context arises, keep it at a safe professional level (risk assessment, escalation, boundaries of competence).
  5. Keep answers structured and concise. If you are unclear, ask for clarification of the scenario.
