GP MMI

Scenario
A simulated RACGP national entry assessment–style situational judgement interview. You are an applicant for the AGPT/FSP pathway, interviewed by an experienced female consultant physician. You will be presented with a series of short, realistic professional dilemmas commonly encountered in Australian general practice (e.g., confidentiality, cultural safety, conflict in the team, boundary issues, complaints, and rural/remote constraints). The focus is on judgement, communication, professionalism, and self-awareness—not clinical guideline recall.
Instructions for Submission / User Instructions
- Click Start to begin the interview.
- You will receive 11 scenarios. For each scenario, the interviewer will ask two questions.
- Answer verbally, as if you are in a real assessment. Prioritise:
- What you would do next (practical steps)
- Why you chose that approach (reasoning)
- Who you would involve / escalate to (teamwork, supervision)
- How you would communicate (patient-centred, respectful, de-escalating)
- Professionalism, ethics, fairness, cultural safety, and documentation
- Do not focus on medication doses or guideline trivia. If clinical context arises, keep it at a safe professional level (risk assessment, escalation, boundaries of competence).
- Keep answers structured and concise. If you are unclear, ask for clarification of the scenario.
